  "Clarification"

  For the record this is Dave Spence one of the owning partners of Bartenders at 2218 Boston Street in Baltimore's Canton-Fells Point Neighborhood. I wanted to address two of the reviews that I have recently found here on Metromix. First I'd like to address"False Advertising" posted by Bigmike900-MMX - We have been running the Monday Night Pizza Special for over four years now, always with the disclaimer that the "Greco" (the Seafood Pizza Mentioned) and "The Bg Bill" are exempt from the special. The cost in making those two of our Specialty Pies keeps us from being able to offer them as a special. I apologize to Bigmike for any confusion but that disclaimer is stated on our website (www,bartendersbaltimore.com), our menu and here on Metromix. With all of the information out on the internet sometimes it is outdated. I just noticed that Metromix lists Tuesday as"$10 dozen Shrimp or Oyster Night". This is no longer true. At this time we feature Taco and Make your own Quesadillas on Tuesdays. I will write Metromix and have this changed. This was not the case with the Pizza night confusion but it is a good example of how misinformation continues to linger in our exceedingly vast cyber world. Please remember that an establishment has the right to change pricing and specials at any time. Be sure to call for updated valid information. Now for the more sensitive issue of "Avoid this Bar" posted recently by Jim8968. We were very busy on that Saturday Night and sometimes tickets are "pulled" in the wrong order, meaning that it is true that sometimes people make mistakes. I personally did not interact with this particular table although I was working behind the bar. A gentleman inquired about the lengthy time it seemed to be taking to get his Pizzas. I understand that they had been served an appetizer and drinks. When said gentleman saw that a newer customer received their Breadsticks appetizer before he his pie, he became very upset. This is when he was asked to leave, his bill was presented to him sans the Pizza Pies. He snatched, in an aggressive manner, the bill from my partner's hand. Shortly thereafter the "upset man" and his party of revellers left through the front door without paying for the drinks and apps. they had already consumed. My partner and several of his friends followed them outside to collect payment for the bill. I was not outside but there was certainly a tense situation and money thrust about. This type of thing happens once in a while when you add alcohol and people decide not to be polite to one another. We are just here to serve our customers and make sure everyone has a good time. That is the whole point. Now Mr. Jim8968, you can forever avoid Bartenders because we don't want you and your petty aggression. To everyone else, I hope that you find my explanation reasonable and you will make up your own minds about out the level of service and the atmosphere that we provide.

  "Avoid this bar!"

  Bad service. Bartender was very rude when we asked about the length of time it was taking for our order. When we asked a second time he told us to get out then proceeded to follow us outside with 7 guys. Do not waste your time or money on this place.
