Description
Just because a place is called “museum,” doesn't mean it has to be pretentious. The AVAM is the outsider, non-traditional, contemporary-visionary, self-taught, treasure troving, self-loathing, articulation of hopes and losses whirlwind of a museum. The AVAM is so accessible because none of the artists represented have been classically trained as artists. Be sure to check out the museum's gift shop.
