Description

Rocket to Venus is co-owned by the owner of Holy Frijoles, which contributes some Hampden cred to this retro sci-fi restaurant and bar. The menu focuses on pub food (as in four 2-ounce burgers served with fried onions), but includes several entrées as well (including pan-seared salmon). We usually get the beet salad, brussels sprouts or a plate of sliders.

rocket's doesnt have MUCH on the menu, & to some people the food may seem strange but the few things from there i get are pretty much my favorite foods, ever. you have got to try the rotini & cheese, the sautee'd green beans, & the wimpies. the fries are so good, as well. unlike any ive ever had. i love the atmosphere. sometimes the staff can be annoying & snobby but most of them are awesome. definitly make a reservation if you are going for dinner on the weekend. during the week, its really hit or miss. but i highly reccomend this place!!!

The cucumber cooler is my new favorite summer drink. So refreshing! So potent!

"Nice space, OK food, & poor service."

I used to like this place and could look past the aloof service since the atmosphere is nice and the food was interesting. The menu changed for the worse and the service took a big dive the last time I went there - I won't be back for a while. To top it off, both my wife and I found some strange green goo at the bottom of our pint glasses. Our server, Michael, didn't seem too worried about it and the two drafts still appeared on our tab. Three thumbs down.

I enjoyed my dining experience. Affordable wine, great service even though it was crowded, and yummy food that was affordable. we got a nice bottle of wine for $24. thai mussels were delicious, but dont get them if you cant handle spicy food. also had the shrimp, grits, and andouille sausage---yum!!! the best part was the insanely fattening and delicious fried pb & j. so good but could only eat 3 bites. had appetizer, wine, 2 entrees, and dessert for $55.00....not bad at all
