The Providence Volunteer Fire Company hosts a ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The public is invited to the event, which will include the dedication of a structure being installed at the station -- a steel beam from the World Trade Center. The beam is part of the station's Walk of Memory.
Speakers at the ceremony will include Battalion Chief Stephen Lancaster and Capt. Robert Murray, who were with units that responded to the scene of the World Trade Center shortly after the attacks.
