Ed Bloom and company whip up commendable shrimp scampi, pan-fried chicken and amazing gumbo at this durable Mount Washington restaurant, the city's premier space for Cajun-Creole cuisine. Diners soak up the good times on the front porch and the Sulgrave Street sidewalk. --Richard Gorelick

I've been coming here for years, even had my wedding rehearsal dinner here. Food is great, portions huge, and they usually have a decent draft beer on tap. They even allow people to dine with their dogs in the outside eating area.
I discovered this restaurant accidentally and I am glad I did the food is great. I have tried the shrimp gumbo, chicken gumbo and rock fish, all excellent. I love the way they prepare the vegetables, too. It is a laid back atmosphere and the staff aim to please.
