The airy and invigorating restaurant space at the Baltimore Museum of Art supplies the perfect frame for John Shields' flavorful and original interpretations of Maryland cuisine. North African and Asian flavors feel perfectly at home with Chesapeake heritage recipes.

I attended Mother's Day Brunch at Gertrude's and while the food was fantastic it just was not what I expected. I did not know that the menu was a la carte and so expensive. I mean I should have seen the price coming because they did have so much seafood on their menu. Also, one of the main reasons I wanted to eat at Gertrude's was because of the live jazz, but unfortunately I could barely her the music (and she was right behind me). I would recommend sitting outside especially if it is a warm day, Gertrude's has a tent and you get to see the beautiful fountain outside. Putting all of this aside I would recommend Gertrude's to all whom ask.
