The thin-crust pizzas (especially the Alice: basil, pesto, fresh tomato, garlic, spinach, goat cheese and Parmesan) at this bright and airy Mount Vernon spot entice post-Centerstage cravings and assure return visits. The self-service set-up might be a little intimidating, but the servers are kind and the prices are right.
Iggie's is a great place to take friends for a relaxing evening out. Though at times it can get busy (and thus, cramped due to a lack of square footage), the pizzeria is a fun experience.
Seating isn't great, since everyone's at close quarters, but there is a neat elevated long table where strangers, or a big group, can sit and converse. Really cool experience, though it requires stepping outside of your comfort zone.
The food is wonderfully tasty, the drinks are BYOB, and the pizza is the fancy artisan stuff that magazines feature in photo shoots. Overall, a truly superb experience!
