Designed and developed by Harvey S. Ladew, the topiary gardens include 22 acres of gardens. Each of its gardens posses a unique aroma and setting, is delightfully hidden from the other and impeccably manicured. The self-guided tour is easy to navigate, but it may also be worth straying from the beaten path to explore some of those less taken. One of the highpoints of the grounds is the Topiary Sculpture Garden with its interpretations of unicorns, seahorses, a top hat and a victory sign. A stop at the Ladew house reveals English antiques, paintings, photographs and fox hunting items. Both the House and Gardens are on the National Register of Historic Places.
