When the original is so good, it's hard to return and repeat success. Unfortunately, this troupe, consisting of 6 new performers, were not as good as the previous group. The material wasn't as funny and this time around, the language was x rated. A few skits were cute. William Donald Shaffer meeting Saint Peter and attempting to spruce up heaven; a skit on the mayor's election and a short throwback to the Bob Turk 'sunshine' song. Someone needs to inform these guys that Sandra Shaw no longer works at WBAL. They need to update that skit. The reference to the 'Hon' lawsuit was cute but overall, this show lacks the humor and the writing that Second City Does Baltimore provided. I'll give it 3 thumbs up out of 5.
We did not see the previous show and found this version quite entertaining. We had lots of laughs. Some players were sharper than others at improvisation, but all had times when they shined. The audience participation bits were fun, too.
