Description

The Dizz is a friendly neighborhood dive where Dogfish Head flows freely on tap, and mixed drinks are exceedingly cheap. With quirky decorations like a basketfull of antique baby dolls, the spot stands out with a personal style all its own.

    "best neighborhood bar in Baltimore"

I can't say enough about this place. Where else in Baltimore can you get a burger for $5, a good selection of beer, and watch the game? The staff is amazing and friendly especially to their regulars. There is always a great mix of folks of all ages and backgrounds which is rare in Baltimore's sometimes segregated bar scene. I go here all the time and take all my friends from out of town. Its all the things I love about Baltimore in one place.

    "The Great Dizz"

Drinks might be cheaper here, BUT they are very very weak. Food is very good, burgers are tops, desserts are EXPENSIVE, but tempting. Meals are darned good, but a bit on the expensive side. NOT a gay destination, but a lot of gays do eat there. Food service is very slow because they have a very small kitchen and a lot of dining space, plus the cooks are not very fast, like prepairing one order at a time? Guess they can't do more than one order at a time. Place is cozy and I do not mind spending the time in waiting for mt food. overall, "weak drinks, expensive food, slow food service."

The Dizz is a cozy, friendly bar and restuarant. The alcohol and beer prices are hard to beat. I have eaten there many times and their food is great, and their prices are reasonable. My favorites are the Jumbo lump crabcake sandwich,The Cream of Crab soup is the best I had anywhere, the bacon cheeseburger, onion rings,The porterhouse steak dinner, porkchop dinner, the hot wings, which are the biggest I've ever ate. My favorite dessert is their brownies. They're a chocolate lovers dream.

    "Why the hype?"

So when I was new to Baltimore I went where the buzz was. Dizzy Izzy's had buzz. It won awards for best burgers in town. Why? They were quite possibly the worst burgers in Baltimore. Other apptizers were bland to say the least. The crowd and ambiance is pretty cool. The bar is cozy. Drinks are good but I'll pass on the food.

Dirt cheap, and actually pretty good. Kind of an interesting mix of old time locals, invading hipsters, and general transients. Food is ridiculously...

This is a great local bar in the Remington/Hampden/JHU area. The large menu is filled with pretty good, fairly cheap, food.
